OUR LEARNING & ACTIONS

What will we do to enhance our students’ learning?

  • We will continue to regularly inquire about the experiences of our students, both those who continue to attend, those who disengage, and those who do not engage at all. We have much to learn from all groups.

What are some specific actions we are considering taking?

  • Increased professional collaboration.
  • Developing a formal process that focuses on transitions within our building, between the community of alternate schools within the district, and between all community schools in our district.
  • Working together to build community and belonging at the site.
  • Intentional support for Indigenous learners and Children and Youth in Care.
  • Semi-annual review of data related to school engagement.

What will we focus on in our professional learning to support our student’s learning?

  • Further professional learning in social and emotional learning, in instruction and assessment, and in Indigenous learning.
