Logo Design Challenge Builds Community
As a part of the Career Life Education course, students were asked to engage in a school-wide logo design challenge.
The challenge not only aimed to build a sense of community/culture, but also to give students an opportunity to showcase their creative thinking skills and become well versed in working with basic graphic design software such as Kittle/Canva. Throughout the process, students were introduced into some of the fundamental logo designing principles such as the importance of typography and basic color theory. Finally, their was a collective student voting process in which the winning logo was to be displayed on a selected piece of clothing.
Overall, this initiative offered a sense of pride and unity amongst our student body, while also empowering them with relevant career-life skills, such as graphic design and visual communication.
The student investment of time and effort resulted in a logo for hoodies which were purchased for all students, which are worn proudly on the site.
